The new senior gallery

I'm happy to say that with Rosey's help, we've updated our senior gallery to include many of our Spring seniors. There were a lot of fabulous faces that came though the doors from March to May and I'm happy that I can share them with you.

So...if you were one of those faces, go take a look...you may see a lot of people you know.

And, if you're one of those members of the Class of 2010, beginning to look for your senior portrait photographer, you'll get a great idea of what we do here. We'll begin shooting shortly, so take advantage of our 75% off session fees deal and you'll not only get great portraits but you'll save some hard earned dollars in the process.

You'll also get last year's prices so you can save even more, but I can't promise that a price increase won't happen this fall, so, great portraits at a great price...what more could you want?

Looking forward to hearing from you...

WHEW!!!!

For the last month and a half, it seemed like every time I sat down to write in the studio blog, I got busy, but that's a good thing.

Since the last week of Feb., I've been hard at it to finish up the class of 2009. Our spring was an incredible success, shooting every day and staying busy until I photographed our last senior on Tuesday.

I'll be adding new images to the website from our Spring crop of seniors, I think we had some pretty amazing kids in the studio and I can't wait for you to see them.

I'm also (finally) going to have the Buzz section on the website up and running with the great comments from this year's seniors...BTW, if you still haven't sent in your questionnaire, it's not too late to be included.

Now, it's on to weddings...

One last chance

As senior season draws to a close, I still have a few appointments left for seniors to get their wallets before graduation.

You can still get $35 off any two sessions and I even have a few weekend appointments available.

But this is it...if you call now, I can still get you in, but time's fading quickly. Take a look at the schedule on the website, www.kcsenior09.com and pick a day that works for you.

You'll have great portraits for your friends and graduation announcements and all the fun that goes with a Gregg Hejna session.

What are you waiting for?

Gregg

Going, going.....

I'm in the home stretch with the Class of '09. With less than two months to graduation (five weeks for a couple of schools!) I'm running out of appointment times quickly.

If you haven't made your senior portrait appointment yet, IT'S NOT TOO LATE! I can still get you on the schedule and get your wallets back in time for you to hand out to friends and get them in the mail with your announcements.

But...those days are fading fast. If you call right away, you can save $35 on any two or more sessions. The trees are starting to gain a few leaves and the ground is becoming green, outdoor portraits are starting to look the way they should.

Give me a call at (816) 741-7090 and get yourself on the schedule and join the seniors who discovered the Gregg Hejna Difference.

Okay, I've got a moment to breathe...

Whew!

I've been a pretty busy guy. Mary and I left for Key West on March 15th and life's pretty much been a blur since then. Don't get me wrong, our little vacation (15th through the 19th) was fantastic, but I hit the ground running after we got back. Heck, I even had an appointment at the studio the day we got back and it's been go, go, go since then.

The weather's been cooperative, even though that's going to come to an end tomorrow, and I've been shooting everyday the studio's been open, sometimes even two seniors a day. It will stay this way for a while longer.

The good news is we still have appointments available to get wallets in time to send out with announcements and to exchange with friends (check the calendar on the website to see available dates).  It's not too late!!!!

You can get $35 off any two sessions, if you take your portraits before May 1st. With online viewing in two or three business days and wallets available in a week to ten days, there's still time.

Give me a call at (816) 741-7090 and we'll get you on the calendar.

The other good news is that we've begun booking weddings for 2010. Although we still have some dates available for 2009 (be sure to check our calendar on the website), it shows how important it is to get your photographer lined up as soon as possible.

Anyway, vacation's over and I'm back in the driver's seat...let's motor.

Only on Friday the 13th!!!!

If you're one of the people who's gotten frustrated trying to log onto the gregghejna.com (or the kcwedphoto.com or the kcsenior09.com) website, let me tell you what has happened.

It seems that the transfer of the domain name (gregghejna.com) that was supposed to have taken place two years ago didn't happen causing an interruption in the service while the name had to be re-registered. Yeah...it's complicated!

Anyway, I've been assured that things will be back to normal in short order and you'll be able to log in.

My apologies for this and I'm taking steps to make sure that the name transfer actually happens this time.

Taking advantage of a few nice days...

It's not exactly a secret that the weather hasn't been helpful for my senior portrait schedule, but in the few nice days we've had, I've been able to get a few sessions in.

I'd like to share a few from the last week. Meet David Brunker and Paige Snyder...

013db  014db  032db  012  023  032

I'm hoping to still get in a few this week, if Mother Nature cooperates (I've already had to reschedule more than one session).

Meanwhile, the schedule is filling up, so, if you were waiting for nice weather, get out ahead of everyone who's waiting until the last possible second and make your appointment now. You'll get a better shot at the calendar.

As always, you can reach me by email: info@gregghejna.com, by phone: (816) 741-7090, or by text: (816) 550-1692.

Sleep deprived...

Yes, ladies and gentlemen....Gregg is back on the airways.

007

With Dale Carter on vacation, I'm joining my wife, Mary McKenna (yes, she has a different last name...it's a long story) on the Morning Country Club on 94.1 KFKF from 6-9 (yes...that is A.M.!!!) again tomorrow.

Should I be on the radio...probably not, but, with Dale on vacation, Mary wants some company and someone to  bounce off...so, here's Gregg to the rescue! Okay, rescue is a little strong, but you get the idea....

So...join us Tuesday morning either on the radio or streaming at kfkf.com or catch up with me on Facebook.

Here comes the fun...

Fun in the snow

What snow?

The snow in Colorado, of course!

Last week I had the privilege of taking a group of seniors (and another set of parents) out to Colorado for some special senior portraits in the snow.

105 From left, Tom Thornton (Stacia's dad), Taylor Hill, Stacia Montgomery, Graham Kearns, my wife, Mary, Adriana Montgomery (Stacia's mom) and Tyler Hill.

As you can see, it was one of those absolutely perfect days in the mountains, The sun was bright, the temperatures were in the 30's at the base of the mountain. (No....I don't know what it was on the slopes! My skiing days are over.) Just one of those great days that I look forward to when we go to Colorado.

Anyway, we didn't get to do as much shooting as we'd have liked to, it seems the half pipe was a little harder than expected for this snowboarding group. But we all still had a heck of a lot of fun.

So, now it's back to work.

For our last minute seniors, we still have 75% and 50% off session fee openings, but they're getting fewer by the day (you wouldn't believe how this phone rings!). So, even you want to wait until April, you want to make your appointment NOW!!

For our brides to be, we still have two weeks left on our special. A free engagement session and 50 custom designed Save The Date cards.

Also, we've added a new feature to the website. Our schedule is now available at the click of a button. Looking for availability for your wedding date, or want to see if we're available for your senior portrait on a particular day? Just click on the schedule and you'll know right away. I'm trying to keep up with things, so please understand if you call and I haven't had the chance to fill that day in, yet.

Being busy is fun!
